Very slow transfer rate

Post by daryl »

Hello Everyone,
I've a problem using Veeam Backup & Replication 7.0 patch 4, when I perform the backup (under IBM TS2240 tape) all seems fine, It transfer at 10MB/s but then It slows down until 1 MB/s, finally It stop with errors saying "Transfer Failed" at 99% .

PS: I use the program in Windows Server 2012 R2, with 40 GB of data, since the transfer's speed slows down the backup takes a long time, I wonder What can I do? or What am I doing wrong?
Any ideas?

Thanks

What type of tape job you're using? Backup to tape or files to tape? What is selected as a source for the job? Thanks.

And what is selected as a source for it? Many small files? If so, then, be aware that current files to tape mechanism isn't optimized for such task and will be revised seriously in the version 8.

So, slow performance of files to tape job might be expected, meanwhile, complete failure is not. Thus, please work with our support team on addressing this issue.

Thanks.
