Veeam Backup to tape feature question

Hi,

I'd like to know if anyone here can compare and share how does Veeam Backup v8.0 write to tape performs compare to the already mature 3rd party product such as Symantec Backup Exec ?

because at the moment I'm currently running the backup to tape using Backup Exec 2012 with no issues so far.

Any kind of comments would be greatly appreciated.

If you're looking for some official comparison, we don't do those with any of our competitors due to the legal implications. However, you're mostly than welcome to hear the feedback from our customers.

From my perspective, it might be worth installing VB&R on separate machine and seeing whether its tape functionality meets your expectations.
