Replication and Exchange 03

Post by brendonbl »

I am running Exchange 2003 and Veeam 5.x

For backup, Veeam job has server credentials so Exchange is aware of the backup, purges log files and all is good.

I want to set up replication of the Exchange server to another host and then do a failover. Do I need to enable application aware processing for this job?

Sure, however you should disable the transaction logs processing in the advanced application-aware processing settings. In fact, this would be the default behavior for replication jobs starting from version 6.1. You want your logs to be handled by a single job, and typically that would be your daily backup job. Thanks!
