Veeam Backup Free Edition + VMware Independent Disks

Hi,

we've tried Veeam Backup Free Edition and are unable to backup VMware vSphere VM's with independent disks.

Is this limitation intended ?

If yes, it's a really big showstopper and makes the Free Edition nearly useless for many, many cases.

We've read http://www.veeam.com/KB1098, but unfortunatley can't find an option in the free edition to create a backup job.

Or am I missing something ?

Hi - this is not intended limitation, just overlooked the fact that disk exclusions are only available in actual jobs. I will ask to add auto-skipping of unsupported disks during VeeamZIP in the next release. Thanks for the feedback!
