Antivirus Settings

Hi,
may i know which folders i need to exclude from AV realtime settings for Windows2008R2x64 Backup&Recovery VMserver?
Now i've set:
C:\Program Files\veeam
and the folders that contain
VBRCatalog
NFS

do i forget some?

that's why when i start a SureBackup job after some minutes i have a BSOD :(

[MERGED] AntiVirus on Veeam Backup Server/Proxy/Repository

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has antivirus running on their Veeam Backup Server, and if so, what exclusions you've needed to make.

I'm thinking that the Catalog directory may be good to exclude from read monitoring, and probably exclude the repository directory.

No antivirus in any Veeam installation I did.
Too many files/ram/cache/data moving around during backups, I do not really want some antivirus to go nuts one day and block or corrupt my backups...

Does VEEAM have an offical answer on what exclusions (if any) need to be set for the antivirus software?

This guy posted his suggetions but I am curious what VEEAM has to say on the subject:

I can tell you what we do for our environment. We use Trend Micro AV and we have the OfficeScan client deployed to our Veeam Backup server. Inside the Trend Micro AV management console (installed on a separate Windows server), we have grouped any backup-software-related Windows servers together in a folder called "Backups" and ensured that the Veeam backup server is in that group. We then applied the following AV real-time scan exclusions to servers in that group:

(a) exclude any disk which stores backup-related data files (so anything which is a Target for a backup job); AND
(b) exclude files with suffix: .VBK .VIB .VMDK and .VRB

That seems to work really well for us, including the running of SureBackup jobs.
