Hi there,
I've been searching what types of AWS EC2 instances are supported by Veeam Backup for AWS, more specifically if the A1 (Graviton Arm based) instances are, but couldn't find the answer.
Many thanks,

Hey Vincent,
All types of EC2 instances are supported.
You can install it from the AWS Marketplace and start using the product for free.
Thanks!

Hi Dmitry,
Many thanks for your input.
Your answer leads me to ask you the following questions : are there any plans to provide support for ARM servers or RPi using an Agent for Linux based physical deployment?
Is Veeam strategy also following VMware exploration towards ESXi support for ARM?
Many thank,
Vincent

Vincent, do you have specific use cases for those ARM servers? There is already a discussion about this ongoing in the VAL forums: post338111.html?hilit=arm#p338111

Hi Niels,
No I don't have any yet. But this strategic question is essential looking at the increasing efficiency of those ARM CPU, naturally followed by a growing interest.
From a Veeam perspective, and in the mid-term, market would probably expect the same level of backup/restore features and transportability level as for x86 between Cloud and on-prem ARM based systems.
RPi ultimately as this machine is low-cost, standard and seems to answer many edge computing needs.
