Hello all.
I have some used space discrepancies between my Veeam Repository and my compatible S3 bucket.
On my veeam Backup Repository the used space there marks 31TB but in my compatible S3 bucket marks that the used space is 166TB, this is a big difference.
Does any one could know the reason? or Does any one have some suggestion on how troubleshoot it?

Hello, why do you expect them to be the same? Do you have two identical jobs backing up to each one? Or what is your scenario?

Re: Discrepancy between used space in a compatible S3 bucket and Veeam?
Hello Gostev, I think that it should be the same, because veeam mention how many space is used for the backups written and such size must be equal on the bucket. Why could be different?
If veeam says that the used space is 31TB why the bucket has 166TB used? this is a big big difference...
Does you have any idea why could be this big diffence?

Hi Fer,
I would recommend opening a support case for insight into your infrastructure as it will be very hard to find the answer using our forums.
Can you please let us know the case ID once opened for future reference?

My two cents...
S3 trends to have incomplete multiparts...
S3 consume up 25% per VM compared with Veeam Repo
S3 suffer too of orphan objects...
Check with some S3 Cli the incompleted multiparts and the lifecycle ...
