Veeam backupfor AWS v10 plugin for VBR V12.3.2.4165

Hi All,

For me Veeam Backup for AWS and VBR are still 2 different products.
Writing an updated plugin for VBR V12.3.2.4165 should make it possible to make the integration with Veeam Backup for AWS V10 or am I missing something?
Now you are forced to upgrade your complete Veeam Data Platform Advanced to V13 before you can upgrade your Veeam Backup for AWS appliance.

Can there be still a plugin created for VBR V12.3.2.4165

Hi Benny,

New version of Veeam Backup for AWS requires Veeam B&R v13. Unfortunately, it cannot be used with Veeam B&R v12.x (there is no such plugin).

This is no different from literally all other backup agents, application plug-ins, hypervisor plug-ins etc.

Their latest versions leverage new VBR version capabilities and (in case of V13) even communicate using different protocols that simply do not exist in the previous VBR version.
