Veeam for AWS Instance Types
Hi,
Is there a way of upgrading the actual Veeam for AWS instance type to newer generations of hardware?
Currently you can only select T3 or C5. However, the latest generation for "C" is C7.
Shutting down the instance on C5 and changing the instance type to C7i fails.
Can anyone confirm if we are actually stuck on this much older version of hardware, or is there a way to upgrade?
Thanks,
Richie

Hi Richie,
I don't think this is possible, but I will check what can be done and report back.

Hi,
Not yet. I'll update here once I get confirmation but for now, it looks like C5 is the only supported one and we will need to do more testing to understand how we can support C7i in the future.

Hi Richie, can you tell me to which C7i type you changed the appliance in your test?

Hi,
I tried a couple of the smaller sizes - the xlarge and 2xlarge, I think.
Thanks,
Richie

Hi,
Sorry for the late response. Please give us some time to perform a test to see what could cause the issue.

Re: Veeam for AWS Instance Types
Hi,
We did some tests and it is possible to change the type if the appliance is deployed via VBR. It is not possible with marketplace deployments.
Could you tell me how you deployed it?
