Hello,
Can someone provide definite answer to this please:
1. What encryption keys do we need to enable on S3 for VEEAM to functional?
2. We are currently using the default SSE-S3 encryption. so, if we have to choose some encryption - should we use SSE-S3 vs AWS SSE-KMS(CMK) with or w/o bucket key?
Please provide your recommendations on these questions?
Thanks,
Manoj.

Re: VEEAM backup requirement to store data in S3
Hi,
If you add a bucket within VB for AWS, you can specify which encryption type to use for the backup files (password or KMS encryption). It is not required to encrypt the S3 bucket but you can use SSE-S3. Amazon S3 buckets using server-side encryption with AWS KMS keys (CMK) are not supported, as written in our Considerations and Limitations.
