How do I show the version of the libOracleRMANPlugin.so currently installed?
Currently we have almost 250 unique database servers running Veeam Plug-in for Oracle RMAN V11. I am in the process of developing a plan to upgrade to V12 which obviously will take some time. I would like to record and track the version of the RMAN Plugin at run time as the upgrades progress
I know that we can derive the Veeam RMAN Plug in from the source ISO from where the software is obtained from. However, this does not help to determine where the installed libraries came from.
I know that we can search through the log files to show the version. However, this is not real time and we may not be able to reliably find library version currently being used.
The current module in use for most of our servers is 11.0.0.837. However, even using the linux strings command, I cannot find this reference in the libOracleRMANPlugin.so file

We do not use rpm to install the Veeam plugin. As such rpm does not give us any information regarding Veeam.

Hi Mike,
Search for "plugin_co| Module version:" in RMANPluginManager.log in /tmp/veeam_plugin_logs/. I think it would be the easiest way in your case.
Thanks!
