SAP Restore from Tape

Hi,

We backed-up our SAP using BRTools. Then we send that backed-up files to tapes for longer retention. Now we need to restore some files from tapes. How can we restore files from tapes using BRTools?

Hello,

First, I must say that we don't have official support for tapes used for application plug-in backups, therefore, we cannot guarantee a successful restore. This is a very important feature request that we already have on our roadmap, but I cannot provide ETA.

You may try to restore backup files from tape to another (non-original) location, after that, import the backup and follow this workflow to bind a target database server to the imported backup and restore from it.
