Hi team,
We've been informed that our storage vendor's native plug-in for orchestrating SQL Server storage snapshots and cloning is being deprecated as this functionality is embedded into SQL Server 2022.
I found this video demonstrating the functionality (which does look a lot like the backup process for SAP HANA instances): https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/shows ... ta-exposed
Are there any confirmed timelines for supporting this new functionality in VBR?

Re: SQL Server 2022 storage snapshots
No plans to use this as it will halt all write operations to the database.
Our VSS and VDI backups allow continuation of writes during backup. The argument to use the suspend command is in order to reduce complexity, but with Veeam I think the usage is quite simple and VSS/VDI processing is completely automated.
