Hi,
we are currently setting up a new Veeam Environment in a secured Backup Network with no direct connection to our internal domain. The Veeam B&R Server, Proxys and Repo Servers are in the same secured network.
I did a backup of a virtual MSSQL Server (vmware) and then tried to restore / export a Test Database from that SQL to a different Location (File Share in our internal Domain Network). The Mount Server has connection to the internal network and the restore starts without a problem. But before it ends successfully, the restore shows an error: Failed to export Databases: The User name or password is incorrect.
I am not able to enter different credentials and it seems that it tries to connect the with the local user from the B&R server, with wich i`ve made the connection to the B&R Console. Is there any other Option except from opening the share to "everyone" ? A direct restore to the original MS SQL Server via "Restore Database" is working fine.
Best Regards
Marc

Re: Veeam Explorer MSSQL Export Database
Hi Marc,
Did I understand correctly that you're specifying a path to the file share (UNC format) on this wizard step and getting the error message during export?
Thanks!

Re: Veeam Explorer MSSQL Export Database
Seems like a workaround but you could create a specific user for this task, Provide them restore operator permissions then open the Veeam VBR console as that user account - This way It would use the specific account you have provided permissions too.

Re: Veeam Explorer MSSQL Export Database
Hello,
@mhunzi please make sure that the user who runs Explorer can access the share from the staging server, you may try to open the share in File Explorer to check it. If this requirement is met but the issue persists, please open a support case and share a case ID over here.
Thanks!
