Hi All,
I know that his topic has been discussed before in the forum but I tried all that mentioned on those topics but it did not work.
I checked that Veeam Agent for Linux is installed also the Oracle Plugin is installed too but when I do application backup (RMAN) via the VBR console I get the warning “Nothing to process”, I checked the permissions for Oracle SYS DB and followed the help centre guide but it still the same.
It is also added to managed Linux and added to Protection Group
From Oracle Linux all the required packages and components are installed also I removed it uninstalled the agent and plugin reinstalled it and re-scan it many times and got the same thing.
Is there a missing thing?
I opened a support case and the ID is: 07147448 (but still did not get a response till now)
I attached the log file and screenshots in the opened case.
Thanks

Re: Warning: Nothing to Process (RMAN Backup)!
Hi Mahmood,
It would be awesome if you could share the link to a topic where we already discussed a similar problem, I could not find it. I'm almost sure that the issue is related to the rescan process: for some reason we just cannot analyze Oracle environment on the server, thus the backup policy does not know what to process. It's a technical issue, I propose to give our engineers some time to work on it and come up with the results.
Thanks!

Re: Warning: Nothing to Process (RMAN Backup)!
Hi Mahmood,
as I wrote in community topic I solved this morning identical issue.
1. You need to add the instance name in oratab file.
2. Run an agent rescan and at the end you can be able to add the database instead the server name.

Hi Antonio,
Basically, our rescan should see instances even if oratab is empty. Was it empty or just a specific instance was not present there?
Thanks!

Hi Petr... I think was empy but during rescan database was not found. After Oracle DBA insert the instance name in oratab database appear and I can submit in a backup job.
We have Veeam 12.1 environment. Agent and plugin RMAN installed from VBR server.
