Access to path denied

Post by larry@deeder.com »

I have installed Veeam Monitor and Business view on the same server (not the vCenter Server). When I run the startup wizard, the database is setup fine, I then enter the info for my vCenter server and get the following error: Access to the path 'C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\Application Data\Veeam\SchedulingService' is denied.

TIA, Larry

Hi Larry, this folder is where the logs are stored. Please give the Veeam Business View service accounts write access to this folder. Overall, it is strange that it attempts to write to Default User, sounds like this computer has some environmental settings tweaked which causes this problem. This should not happen on clean OS install.

Thank you!

This was a brand new VM. I used the local admin account and all is well. Domain Admin does not work, I will check group membership.

I see, then may be some domain security settings are causing this issue... are Domain Admins added to the Local Administrators group on this VM?
