Custom Groups entries not in Alphabetical Order
Hi,
Is there any way to sort the entries/contents of the custom groups into alphabetical order?
When manually categorizing VMs the drop-down contents aren't alphabetically listed.
Is their setting or fix for this?

Could you please tell if you are trying to sort those items while standing on the Workspace tab?

This happens on Workspace>Object Type:Virtual Machine>Select any VM & double-click to Edit its Categories.
The 'Edit Categories' window that pops-up, has the drop-down lists of the the various Categories/Groups. The entries in these drop-down lists are not sorted alphabetically.

Oh I see... the entries that are displayed come in the same order you've created them in Configurations->Groups tab, and there is not way to change it. Thanks for bringing this in.
Out of curiosity could you please tell me what groups are you using to categorize the VI objects?

I see...have you seen our BV 2.0 with dynamic groups? With these groups all your group entries (categorizing VI objects) will be automatically created and sorted in alphabetical order, might save you some time.

Re: Custom Groups entries not in Alphabetical Order
We have just 300 VMs. All manually categorized already.
We don't deploy many new VMs often., so its easier to categorise them manually when a new VM is created.
