We use the latest version. we have restarted the server hosting the service.
We have checked the accounts and server connection and all "Test" good.
when we try to run a collection we get the following error:

Hello Rob, what is the version of vCenter server you are connecting to? And are there any special characters, such as ">", in the login or password?

We are using vCenter v4.0.0 Build 258672
The only non alpa-numeric charector would be a period.

Hi Rob,
In this case I would recommend to contact our support team directly providing complete log files, it would be best to let our support take a look at this in live over webex, as it is hard to guess the issue remotely.

I deleted the VM and created a new one. Installed a fresh download and configured the services. Everything is running now.
