Installed Business view, but javascript errors when trying

Installed and connected monitor to BV with no issues. However when I launch BV by itself i just get a blank page that says:

JavaScript must be enabled in the web browser to view this page’s content.
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, add this site to the trusted sites.

Along with a lot of red X boxes. I've accessed this page from 4 different machines all with javascript, i've tried IE and firefox from all of them, i've rebooted the server all to no avail.

What am I missing? (the site is in the local intranet with security as low as it can go)
