Migration to a new Server

Post by adamyager »

Is there a supported method to migrate Business View to another server. I would like to preserve the DB and settings if possible.

Thanks

Adam, you can migrate your DB within SQL Management Studio and as soon as you do this just point to existing database server during new installation process, so that your old database could be re-used for a new setup. Moreover, you can specify a configuration database later.
In order to do that you need to navigate to Configuration|Database settings and then provide connection settings for a Microsoft SQL server database you want to use.
