Hi all,
I need help to use VeeamONE for tagging vSphere VMs and i need a validation :
Is that really possible to tag vSphere VMs from rules defined in Veeam Business View ?
Today, no tag are configured in vSphere and i need to configure VeeamOne (Business View) to tag all VM with specifics rules. Thereby, Veeam jobs can be configured to backup VMs with specifics tags.
For example, i need to backup all PoweredON VMs, with Windows OS, from specific datastore. Did i have to use dynamic rules or can i do that with static rules.
I don't really understand the Veeam ONE Business View logic...
Can someone help me to tag vSphere VMs ? I know i can use PowerCLI to tag them, but Business View seems to be more dynamic and viable for big infrastructure.

Re: VeeamONE Business View TAG vSphere
Hi,
Yes, that's possible to do, you can either tag VMs within BV or write tags to vCenter Server database. Please take a look at 5th use case for more detailed instructions > ONEbelievable tricks: Veeam ONE and Automation Services
Thanks!
