Dear friends,
I have a full backup from a windows file server that has pass away, so I have transfered all the files to a NAS Server and I Would like to edit my backupjob to point to the new file share in order to continue incremental backups from there.
Original file server
Orphaned backup
Target file share
I tried the following approach without success https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
Powershell error
Any ideas and how i can point my backup to the target without the need to make a full backup again?

Re: Change backup source from a file server to a file share
Hello Christian,
Unfortunately this cmdlet does not work when you change the source type from file sever to file share (and visa-versa), it's designed handle the change of IP address / DNS changes while the source type remains the same within the B&R console (basically it allows to you to continue the backup of the same file share but with it's name being changed). I'll note your post as a feature request. Thank you!
