Hello,
I have several customer they want to backup their NAS enterprise filer with Veeam.
They have very often a volume with different share + 1 share on the "root" level.
Ex :
share1 /nas/share1
share2 /nas/share2
nas$ /nas
If I select the SVM or Volume to backup, Veeam will backup twice the data because share1 and share2 are included in nas$
When I read the documentation, there is no workaround for this :
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
You cannot exclude a whole file share from processing if the storage system, where file shares reside, is added to Veeam Backup & Replication as a NAS filer.
The workaround is useless here because it's to exclude Volume.

Re: [Feature request] Exclude Share on NAS filer
the only workaround I could think of is adding the individual shares to inventory that you want to backup instead of the root.
