Exclusion with ISILON integration …
Hello,
I have added a ISILON array as NAS backup source to the Veeam Server in order to manage integrated snapshot and the native changed files tracking.
In this case, the exclusion not working as discribe in the documentation.
Because in my case si not a NFS share and not a SMB share.
I tryed many combinason but le folder is always backuped.
How can I manage exclusion in this case?
Thanks

The path is in this format : ClusterName\AZ-NAME:\ShareName
What I want is to exclude the ShareName.
What I want is to exclude the ShareName.

Hello folks,
Try this format:
where
ClusterName - hostname of your Isilon added to the VBR as Filer
:/NFSShare/folder - path to the NFS share you would like to exclude
Let us know how it goes. Thanks!
Try this format:
Code: Select all
ClusterName:/NFSShare/folder
ClusterName - hostname of your Isilon added to the VBR as Filer
:/NFSShare/folder - path to the NFS share you would like to exclude
Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

Hi Dima,
i have the same issue as the OP, and your anwser is not working.
We are backing and NAS Filer (Netapp in my case) and we are selecting the entire Volume where allshare are located.
The share are not recongnize as CIFS or NFS since it's a NAS filer.
So the format you propose is not working because it's not NFS.
I have a case opend if you need
Case # 05117096

Re: Exclusion with ISILON integration …
Hello folks,
I am sorry for the confusion, looks like for the storage integration part (NetApp, Isilon or Lenovo added as Filer) ability to exclude specific shares is not yet implemented (the only way is to exclude specific volumes from the storage system). I've asked RnD folks to research if it's possible to support file share exclusions for storage systems in the upcoming versions. Thank you for your feedback!
