Failed to get SMB Protocol dialect for share

Hi,

We are attempting to backup file shares on a Unity using V10. I'm able to create the SMB File Share without specifying any access credentials and specifying the following shared folder:
\\nas_FQDN\system

I'm using this path because it shows me all folders from this share - I take it this is fine to do? Otherwise I'll have to create a SMB file share for hundreds of folders.

The problem I have is that any of the files/folders that are locked down to individual users are skipped with this method, I attempt to get over this by adding in an account with full file privileges on these shares but I get the error "Failed to get SMB protocol dialect for share".

Has anyone seen this before / over the issue?

Has this been resolved. I'm having same issue with NetApp SMB Share.

Problem was solved and the Issue was with credentials format specified as user@domain. Try using domain\user format instead.

I did having same issue with " veeam backup failed to get smb protocol dialect for share --tr: error code: 0x00000005 "
That makes me couldn't change of SMB Cache Repository. May I get any helps ?
