Feature Request - Backup Copy file backups through VSP Cloud Connect

Hi,

Seems your unable to backup copy over a cloud connect Datastore (i.e. offsite) for File Backups this making my 321 rule kinda invalid....
#07143150 I've been advised to log a feature request though I'm not sure why its not a option as standard. I notice there are quite a few features where you cannot select a Cloud connect datastore as an option.
Why is this?
Can this be added?

I moved your topic, because I believe you are asking about NAS backup jobs.
- Agent file backup jobs: Cloud Connect is possible
- NAS backup job: Cloud Connect is not possible as a target.

We are aware of this request for NAS backup jobs. But nothing we can share today.
As a workaround, you can use object storage from a Veeam Service provider or cloud object storage provider to have a copy of your NAS backups in an offsite location. It can also be made immutable for additional protection.
Supported object storage services can be found in our Veeam ready list:

We seriously need the ability to back up file shares to Cloud Connect. Either directly or via backup copy (so we can seed).

I have a client with almost 1 million files across three shares and the best I can tell him is onsite backup only. Which sucks.
 
You can add my vote as +500.

By the way, not everyone wants to pay the exorbitant costs of AWS or Azure for storage.

I would also like to put in my vote to have the ability to back up file shares to Cloud Connect, either directly or via backup copy, added as a feature. I know NAS backups were introduced in v10 so it doesn't make sense why it isn't a feature by now. Object storage is too expensive so that isn't an option.
