Hello, can someone please suggest a Veeam restore option to allow us to easily view/restore file and folder versions.
The restore process from what I can see is:
1. Select restore
2. Guest files restore
3. Select date
4. Starts restore session (takes a while)
5. Displays file/folder structure
6. Restore
7. If the file is not there or the wrong version then back to step 1.
We don’t want end users doing restore, just IT admin, but we do restore for end users, sometimes with the instruction “I think I had it sometime in the last few weeks…” so this kind of restore is not really an option!
Thanks for any ideas.

Re: File/Folder Version restore
Hi Pete,
Do you refer to the workflow described in this section on our help center? If yes, could you please tell us what exactly makes the current workflow inconvenient for you?
Thanks!

Re: File/Folder Version restore
Hello, I don't seem to have that File/Folder restore option. Only VM and 'Guest files' which then doesn't follow the same workflow with versioning etc. Do I need to setup a backup of type 'File Share' and point it towards the File server?

Hi Pete,
Yes, File Share backup must be used if you're going to leverage File Share data recovery features, such as selection of file version.
Thanks!
