Hello.
I am new to Veeam backup software. I am testing it to replace the Areca backup software.
Currently, I am testing file backups.
With Areca, I did a full backup (on Sunday) once a week and incremental backups the other days.
I can't figure out how to manage full / incremental backups with Veeam.
The 1st backup was indeed complete. All other backups are incremental.
Can you tell me if this is the correct way to proceed, just one full and the rest incremental?
Best regards.
Xavier.

Re: File Share backup job settings Case #04943042
Hi Xavier,
Welcome to Veeam R&D forums!
VBR's file share backup follows the forever forward incremental backup approach, meaning only changed data is backed up after the initial "full backup" run. Please, refer to our UG for more info.
Thanks

Hello.
Thank you very much for your answer. We will therefore work with Veeam backup.
Work with full backup every weeks seem to be "old school" now
