File to Tape from 2008RS Server

Hi, is there a possibility to backup files from Windows Server 2008R2 with BR12?

Can´t add the server to my inventory.

2008 R2 as "managed file server" isn't supported in V12. You can find supported Windows operating systems in our user guide: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120

As a workaround, you can make your files accessible through SMB. A File To Tape job can protect files shares.

Unfortunately no. Server 2008 R2 is no longer maintained by Microsoft (no security updates) so we don't allow introducing one into the backup infrastructure for security considerations.
