Hello to all, I am a new user,
currently evaluating the B&R Community edition (v. 11.0.0.837).
For the time being, among other jobs, I am using it to get incremental backup 3 SMB -CIFS- shares (2GB , 100GB , 200GB ).
The backup as well as the restore procedure are OK (for the restore proc I use the Files&Folder method).
Examining the recovery scenario, I would like to ask whether the following are possible:
In case of Veeam B&R failure, how could I move the backup file to another machine?
In case I do not have access to SMB share (eg \\192.68.0.1\share) anymore,
could I restore the files to some other point (SMD share or local disk)??
TIA,
Lema

Re: Files&Folder restore
Hello,
You can spin up another Veeam B&R server machine, add the backup location as repository and rescan the repository. Backup files will be located under Home > Imported. In case of Veeam B&R failure, how could I move the backup file to another machine?
It's possible to restore entire file share from the backup file to a new location via Entire file share recovery or you can restore specific files to a new location via file level recovery. In case I do not have access to SMB share (eg \\192.68.0.1\share) anymore, could I restore the files to some other point (SMD share or local disk)??
