Hi,
I'm trying to find how i can use multiple shares for backup destination as a group.
With Veritas NetBackup you can the option to create a group with all Backup Destination Disks and use the group as backup destination and the software will select the appropriate disk as round robin (availability, size etc)
I have now Disk1 and Disk2 as Backup repository, both SMB
Can i create a group with these two and use the group "All Disks" in order to backup accordingly ?
Thanks

Re: Group of SMB Shares, used round-robin
Hello,
that is possible by creating a scale-out repository where you put all your SMB shares in one logical repository. That sounds similar to me like what NetBackup does.
Best regards,
Hannes.
PS: block storage with REFS / XFS is recommended for Veeam. Low-end NAS-based repositories usually only perform well with "active full" backups enabled (I assume that coming from NetBackup, that you have a significant amount of data)
