Hi!
I have read the following how file share backup works but it left me to wonder: what happens when files or folders are moved within the same share or more tricky to another share within the same job?
I have seen applications where metadata is also used to track files. The software has the ability to move files to another storage for archiving purpose due to legal requirements.

Re: NAS : What about moved files?
Hi Olivier,
If the file was moved, for backup it would mean the file was removed from the original location and the new one was created in the new location.
The removed file version will be moved to the long term repository or will be removed by retention policy.
Thanks!

Re: NAS : What about moved files?
Thank you, Natalia. I was expecting this behaviour, don't you think it would be a great option to track files within the job perimeter save plenty of processing power in case of a user moving files/folder around or an application moving the file around itself for archiving.
