Hello,

I would like to understand more what is the difference between "CDOT (NAS Backup Integration)" and "Only as SVM (NAS Backup Integration)" based on this link :

I'm using only CDOT and user account created to access the share on the Netapp side and I reference both account on Veeam (1 on storage section and the other on the NAS filer).

Where could I use the "Only as SVM" account ? Because I created it but I don't understand the usage of the account.

I think the difference is the following:
You can give us an IP on ONTAP OS level and we can backup from there. In theory backup any SVM or share.
Or we could work restricted with an SVM only and see only the shares from this SVM.

Thanks for your answer however, I don't understand where is it possible to use "SVM account only".
On the storage integration ? I select an account with only permission on 1 or several SVM and on the unstructured filer section I select the account with allowed authorisation on share (sebackup + serestore privilege from netapp side).

CDOT if user is created on ONTAP cluster level
SVM if user is added on the SVM level

It's about the user management. In this case the user that use used to connect the metal system within the veeam UI.
