hey guys.
I currently have a VBR enterprise. I've been testing some ways to have an external repository for a while but VBR doesn't see it directly. But I could only find the cloud connect option, but I believe it is paid in this case.
Is there another way to have a repository at my branch without Veeam Backup having direct visibility to it? Maybe with a proxy at the destination but in a separate vlan..
Thanks.

Re: Repository Offsite
Do you have routing between your networks or an option for VPN?
Cloud connect might be covered within your license. You need to check with your Veeam sales representative. But even then it is a bit overhead as the package was built for service providers at scale.
I think the best option is to look into your firewalls and create a VPN connection that allows only the backup infrastructure to speak with each other.
Potentially there is Veeam PN (end of support VPN software solution) or OpenVPN to bring the 2 servers together.

Re: Repository Offsite
Good morning.
We've already looked and we don't have a Cloud connect license.
Yes, we use VPN. I currently have this remote repository, via SMB. But I didn't want Veeam to connect directly to my repository. If the Veeam server is compromised, it has the possibility of being exploited.
What solutions does the market offer to improve this scenario?
Is there any way to get around this with a proxy? Or another opensource solution in the middle of the road like S3?
