Hello, Im trying to backup ONLY my .snapshot folder in my NFS share (ik its weird) buty veeam doesnt seem to see it.
I have 2 netapp sites, 1 nfs share from each one, both have snapshots and the setting of "snapshot visible to client" and both have all proxies in their export policy. When I added them to a backup job I edited the settings so that all folders will be loaded so that it wont exclude the .snapshot one.
HOWEVER, veeam is only able to see the snapshot folder of 1 nfs share and it could see all folders except for the .snapshot in the second one.
I added another nfs share from the same svm and it seems like veeam cant see his snapshot folder either so i guess it could be an svm setting that I dont know of?
Any ideas what could solve this?
Thanks in advance !!

Re: Trying to backup the .snapshot folder in NFS share
Solved, problem was the veeam servers used nfs 4.1 to access the nfs file share, if the svm allows nfs 4 then they will access it that way.
What I did was to move the file share to an svm that only allows nfs 3 protocol and it showed the .snapshot folder
