Veeam B&R and File shares bck

Post by rpop »

Hello,

In few months we plan to use Veeam B&R to backup the entire of our CIFS and NFS shares.

We have 15 shares with thousand or millions files, depend of the share.
Retention and archive will be the same for all backuped shares.

Backup target will be HPE Storeonce catalyst

What's the best practice ? one different catalyst repository for each backuped share, or same catalyst repository for all backuped shares.

Thank you

Hello,
I would say backup everything to one repository and copy the backups to another for more reliable protection.
Thanks

Got it :)
If your catalyst can handle backups of all three file shares within the defined backup window, you can go for a single repository.
Thanks
