Replying to myself one year later!

After reviewing the average discounts our sales had to provide in the closed-won VUL-based NAS protection opportunities in 2020, we decided to double the amount of NAS data covered by one VUL from 250 GB to 500 GB in v11. This puts the effective price per TB slightly below the average price our existing NAS backup customers were willing to pay for this functionality last year. On top of that, v11 brings some new and unique NAS backup features such as instant publish and native integration with leading enterprise filers, which would normally result in a price increase. So overall, across these two changes, our NAS backup pricing should now be in a very good place MSRP-wise.

For small customers, this change also means that you can now protect the first 500 GB of data from any file source at no cost at all (up from 250 GB with v10a, you can see the details about this feature in KB3228).

To take advantage of the new NAS backup license entitlement, you must upgrade to v11.
