Ovirt Cannot authenticate user No valid profile found in credentials
Because in the near future we are going to need to backup an OLVM environment I have setup a test environment. OLVM is up and running and has two virtual machines running in it. When I try to add the OLVM virtual manager to my test Vbr server I follow the steps from https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbrhv ... html?ver=5.
Once I fill in the fqdn of the server and add as user "admin@localhost" and add the credentials I get a popup with "Cannot authenticate user No valid profile found in credentials". I thought it was just a matter of supplying the fqdn of the server and credentials and then it would add the OLVM, but I cannot seem to get it working.
Anyone an idea what I am missing here?
regards,
Oscar

Hello Oscar,
Are you able to login OLVM itself with the same admin@localhost user?

Hi Rovshan,
yes I can perfectly logon to OLVM with admin@localhost. Come to think of it, I even created a "backup" user and with that backup user I can logon to OLVM and manage everything too, and with that user I get the same error.

Hi @oscarm
What about Keycloak? Do you have setup of any Keycloak on the OLVM? If so, then you should try input username as following example:
admin@your-example-domain@localhost

Re: Ovirt Cannot authenticate user No valid profile found in credentials
Hi Rovshan,
you have pointed me in the right direction! Thanks for that. I went into the administration tab (I had seen if you logon it shows admin@internalkeycloak-autz@localhost, so I tried that as well). But as said, in the administration tab I saw the user was admin@ovirt@internalsso. So I tried that username and corresponding password and now it is deploying the appliance so it all should work ok now.
Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

Oscar
