Removing Proxmox Worker from Veeam

Post by Servior »

Hi all,

I've tested the Proxmox backup in our demo lab. Veeam deployed workers on the Proxmox hosts during adding the nodes. I've made a mistake in the worker name and wanted to remove the worker. Veeam did not allow me to remove the worker, due to being "active" or something (Don't know exactly what the icon means). Buttons were greyed out. No jobs were running. Rescan, Edit Properties, etc. did not change this situation.
Even when disabling the worker, it cannot be removed. Doesn't matter if I wait for an hour or so.

I've deployed a second worker with the correct name, disabled the first one and ran the job again. The new worker had been used and after that, I could remove the first misspelled worker. Is this expected behavior?

Hello,

Was the worker in this state (icon) when you did try to remove it?

Hi,

the icon is similar, but with a clock in it:

Tried to reproduce the issue, but my newly created workers have the buttons to remove it active.

Hello,

Seems like you were trying to remove the worker while it was still being deployed.
