Two masquerade IP addresses in Surebackup test

Post by Pierpa »

Hi,
I'm trying to check surebackup in my lab environment. The Vm are on a Proxmox appliance, and I would like to test Surebackup. I know that Proxmox is not supported and configurable for this scope, so I've built on Proxmox a VM that has a HyperV role. I succeeded on that and I am able to build a Vlab and an application group. My original Vm has only an IP on the "production" network.
Running the surebackup verification, all is working fine but I can see that 2 masquerade IPs are shown. The ping test is unsuccessful on this .2 IP, by the way.
I can see that the first address 10.255.255.75 is the "translation" for the Vm prod IP 10.0.1.75, but I cannot explain what is the meaning of the 10.255.255.2 address and who is the owner.
May I have an explanation on that point please? Networking is always foggy for me ... :-)

Thanks for your patience
Pierpa
