This download is a special version of Veeam Backup & Replication 12.3.2 ISO.
The XCP plug-in is included in this ISO and is installed automatically.

License
Since this is a preview, you can use whatever valid Veeam license you have. Don't have a license? You can use beta without a license in the Community Edition mode (10 VMs max) or get a free Veeam NFR license (20 VMs max). And if you need more, then just get the official trial license from our web site.

Incremental and full VM backup using CBT.
Select VM, tag, or cluster as backup job sources.
Support for all backup repositories except Cloud Connect and External repositories.
Skips dirty blocks and swap files on NTFS volumes.
Active full, synthetic full, and daily retention policies (point-based retention is not supported).
Email notifications.
Configurable compression levels and block sizes.

SureBackup Light & manual scan.

Restore
VM Restore
Restore VMs to an XCP-ng cluster.
Disk-level Restore
Export disks as VMDK, VHD, or VHDX.
Publish disks for Windows or Linux.
Item-Level Restore
File-Level Recovery (FLR) without FLR appliance.
With appliance on VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix AHV.
Veeam Explorers (via heuristics).

System Requirements

XCP Cluster
Version: XCP-ng 8.3 or later
User role: Pool Admin.

Backup Server
Refer to the Veeam Backup & Replication v12 [url=https://www.veeam.com/products/veeam-da ... ments.html]User Guide/[ur].
To begin using the product, enable automatic license updates and add your XCP-ng pool master node to Veeam Backup & Replication.

Limitations & Known Issues

General
Supported datastores: ext, nfs, lvm, lvmoiscsi, lvmofc, lvmohba.
Other datastores can be enabled via an appsettings key (available from R&D upon request).
Automatic license update must be enabled to use the product.

Setup
Upgrades to or from the beta build are not supported.
Third-party and required software licenses are not included in the beta.
Installing the Veeam Plug-in for XCP-ng installs a new .NET version, which may cause other plug-ins to become inaccessible in the UI.
To resolve, reboot the VBR VM or restart all Veeam services.

Pool (Cluster)
XEN Orchestra is not supported; add the pool using its master node IP or FQDN.
To add a pool, specify the master node of your pool.
Rescan sessions create a splash form that waits for the session to complete.

Backup
Excluding VMs or disks is not supported.
VeeamZip is not supported in the beta.
NBD must be enabled for networks unless there is a worker created for each host.
Email notification settings for backup jobs are not supported in beta.

Restore
Restore to Other Platforms
To Nutanix AHV:
All XCP-ng networks are shown in the wizard, not just the original one. Disconnect all except those needed for restore.
Windows VMs: Do not restore the original network; restore disks as SATA.
Linux VMs: Rocky Linux may not boot correctly; Ubuntu is also affected.
Restore from backups created on other platforms is not supported in beta.
Some advanced VM settings are not restored.

Workers
At least one worker per host is recommended.
Parallel tasks limits:
- Minimum: 2 tasks (worker is not optimal with only 1 task).
- Maximum: 25 tasks.
JeOS updates are not supported in beta.
Worker host cannot be changed; create a new worker instead.
Worker images are not automatically removed from the XCP-ng cluster when it is removed from Veeam Backup & Replication.

Logs
Log location: ...\Veeam\Backup\Plugins\XEN
