Opened case 05850976 earlier today. Yesterday we had updated our Veeam VBA appliance (running version 4) to the latest Ubuntu Security updates that Veeam for Azure had downloaded. The updates applied and then the appliance rebooted. Everything appeared normal after logging back in.
This morning a number of the Azure snapshots will still running 2 to 5 hours after they were started. The session logs showed:
Crash-consistent snapshot of "server name" has been created. Cannot download VSS agent binaries from the storage account: Exception of type 'System.OutofMemoryException' was thrown.
Typically we install the updates no more than once or twice a week and sometimes only once or twice in a month.
Curious if others have experienced that with the updates for this week beginning January 30th?
Veeam Tech Support has contacted me and they are combing through the log files that were uploaded with the case. No resolution yet.

Re: Applied Ubuntu Security Updates - Snapshots are not completing
Hi Dan,
We aren't aware of this issue yet and I don't think any security update should impact any of the libraries we use. We'll look into the case from our side as well.
Thanks for reporting!

Re: Applied Ubuntu Security Updates - Snapshots are not completing
We did some tests and didn't manage to simulate the same behavior in our labs. Please continue working with support to analyse the root cause of the VSS problems.
