Hi!
I would like to make a formal request for a backup software/feature for Azure DevOps (SaaS).
Preferably incorporated in either vbo365 or vbr, not another software (again)
The important things to back up is:
* Repos - Hereunder also commits and history
Nice to have:
* Boards
* Pipelines
* Test Plans
* Artifacts

Hello,
thanks for your request. Well, why not Veeam Backup for Azure?
I moved it to the public forums that others can join your feature request.
Anyway... as for now I found a comment from one of my colleagues that there seems to be a manual way to back it up
https://charbelnemnom.com/how-to-backup ... ories/amp/
Best regards,
Hannes

i also would like to see Azure Dev Ops Backup integration into Veeam Software.
Thanks for the link of "manual" backup. This could be a workarround, but it always better to have it completely in Veeam integrated

Hi Niels
I agree with lahey (first post)
The most important things are repository, repository history, commit.
Thanks

Whenever you add +1, please spend also a couple of minutes sharing a bit more details on your usage scenario and the exact items/data you want to protect. The same goes for the preferred restore options
Thanks!

Ideally backed up to external (non-Azure) object storage

+1 for us, too.
As per previous comments, we are looking for most aspects of Azure DevOps:
* Azure DevOps Repos
* Azure DevOps Pipelines
* Azure DevOps Boards
* Azure DevOps Artifacts
* Azure DevOps Test Plans
Would also like:
Veeam GUI integration for backup/restores
Choice of destination for backups/restores - Azure/Cloud/local, etc.
Backup Reporting/integration with VeeamOne
Surebackup integration for automated testing [stretch goal]
Our guys want to not only back it up, but know that it's backing up, and be able to test and prove that backup/restore works, preferably automated.

Also need to mention our granular, point of time restore requirement. For example, we want to be able to restore a specific repository at a point in time without overwriting all other repositories.

Hi Mark,
Very clear information. No direct plans though for the short-term release for support of Azure Devops.

Hi Maurice
Welcome to the forum.
I moved your request to the existing topic about this request.
Please see my colleagues previous answer.
Can you please share more about your use case and what data/settings you need to have protected from Azure Devops.
Best,

Yes, I would love to know if this will be considered or make it to the next version of Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure.

Hi,
This is still something on our longer roadmap but will not be in the next release of VB for Azure (v8).

+1 for this request.
Microsofts documentation regarding DevOps built-in 28 day backup states: While these backups serve as a crucial component for disaster recovery, it's essential for customers to practice appropriate data management and backup strategies to ensure comprehensive protection of their data. Furthermore, they make it clear that their backup is for disaster recovery only, not for accidental deletion of individual items.
As an all-around IT service provider, I have several customers requesting backup of Azure DevOps, and I'd love to be able to assist them with a Veeam solution, rather than splitting up backups between multiple Vendors for different areas.
