Backup Copy

Post by odurasler »

What is the strategy for creating backup copies within VBAZ? For example, I'm backing up an azure vm in East and using a storage account in east, but i would like to copy that backup to a storage account located in Central. I'm looking around the GUI and do not see that option. What am i missing?

For clarification, when VBAZ and VBR are integrated, and on the VBR console, there is no selection to create a backup copy on an VBAZ job. The only jobs that show up are jobs created by VBR. And on the VBAZ console, there is no "policy" to create a backup copy.

Hi! If you're interested in storing VM backups in different storage accounts, you can achieve this by creating repositories in these storage accounts within the desired regions. Then, configure a backup policy to send backups to the repositories using different schedules.

If you want to have backup copies in multiple storage accounts, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure does not currently support this particular configuration.

To create a backup copy job from the VBR console, please follow the instructions provided in the Integration with Veeam Backup & Replication Guide.
