Hello,
We are backing up Azure VNet in Veeam backup for Azure.
Veeam saves this data to the configuration database. We have enabled additional backup copy, so that Virtaul Network configuration is saved in the backup repository in Azure.
But we also want to extract and save this data outside of Azure, maybe in our VBR which is on-prem.
Is there a way to get this done?
I understand without the azure appliance, this information has to be manually read and restored, but best to have a copy of backup external to Azure.
Hope this make sense?
Is this possible?
If not possible to get it on VBR, is there a way (manual steps) to extract this info from the configuration database or backup repository and save it on the VBR server?
Thanks,
-Sumeet.

Re: Exporting Virtual Network backup out of Azure appliance
Hi!
Currently, Veeam Backup & Replication does not rescan backups of virtual network configurations stored in Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure repositories.
Backup copy jobs for these backups are also not supported in Veeam Backup & Replication.
You can perform compare and restore operations with the backups only using a backup appliance.

Re: Exporting Virtual Network backup out of Azure appliance
Hi Lyudmila,
Thanks for the update.
As mentioned in my earlier note, it is important to get a copy external to the Azure env.
Are any plans to support this in future?
