Premium SSD V2 support

We are considering deploying VMs using Premium SSDv2 disks. Azure backup is in preview for VMs containing these disks using enchanted policies in Azure. Does Veeam support backing these up, if not is there an estimated timeline of when it will?

Hello,

Currently, VB for Azure doesn’t support backup of Azure VMs with premium SSD v2 disks. However, this feature has already been added to the roadmap for future releases.

Could you provide more information about the disk types you use for such configuration? Do you use Storage Spaces, dynamic disks, or Storage Spaces Direct?

We use Storage Spaces following the guide in the link I posted above.

Thank you for providing clarification. Veeam Backup for Azure supports backup of Azure VMs that have the mentioned configuration. However, it is important to note that file-level restore cannot be performed for this particular disk type.
