When I manage my backups for Entra ID and Veaam Vaults in the Veeam Data Cloud, I want to make access to them as secure as possible.
Currently, I only see the option of simple user/password authentication (without MFA) or the use of Entra ID users with MFA. Unfortunately, only users from the same tenant for which the Data Cloud is configured are accepted.
I don't want to use the same Entra ID to sign-in to my Entra ID backup!
Local users with MFA and IP-based access control would be nice, for example.

Re: Security for Veeam Data Cloud
Hi Bernd,
Network Access Restrictions are currently not available in the One UI portal (https://cloud.veeam.com).
However, Entra ID Conditional Access Policies can be used to restrict access to the portal from specific locations.
Please refer to https://www.veeam.com/kb4716 for details.

Best regards,
Fabian

If you are referring to Veeam My Account credentials ("Continue with Veeam"), you can enable MFA for these accounts.I only see the option of simple user/password authentication (without MFA)

Re: Security for Veeam Data Cloud
Hi Fabian,
thanks for the quick reply.
I understand about conditional access policies, but I don't want to place the sign-in on the same tenant that I'm actually securing.
But thanks for the article about My Account, I've always looked for this option directly in the Cloud Portal.
Best regards,
Bernd
