04013540 - Virtual server incremental backup failure

Post by hzomba »

Hello

I am having issues with an incremental backup failure, I have checked all the settings and they are right. This is the error message:

18/02/2020 18:07:17 :: Processing DC2 Error: File does not exist. File: [E:\Backup\Backup Job - DC2\Backup Job - DC2D2020-02-02T125055_7431.vib].
Failed to open storage for read access. Storage: [E:\Backup\Backup Job - DC2\Backup Job - DC2D2020-02-02T125055_7431.vib].
Failed to download disk.
Reconnectable protocol device was closed.
Failed to upload disk.
Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.SyncDisk}.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Hi Evan, does the file mentioned in the error actually exist in the repository?

Then the message is more than expected. Any chance it was removed recently for some reason? Anyway, to workaround, you need to trigger the full backup to start the chain from scratch. The existing chain might be partially unrestorable (depending on what files still exist).

Hello Foggy

Thank you for the information, I have restarted a full active backup running and it is running fine.
I have another issue with licences, I have updated my Veaam to VeeamBackup&Replication_10.0.0.4461 which is the community edition and its asking for a licence key?

Thank you

Do you mean you have the paid license for the previous version but you're not able to upgrade it to v10?

I cannot find any active contracts for your company, so it seems like you're on a trial version which is why you see a one-month trial key.

Hello Foggy

I downloaded the community edition which is free I thought so why is it asking for a licence key? Can I make it into the community edition?

If you're talking about the installation wizard step where you can install the license, then it is actually not required there, you can just skip the step and proceed with Community edition installation.
