Backup Copy Job - Monthly Backup Marked With R

I have a backup copy job configured to store 2 restore points, 3 monthly backups (last day of month) and 2 yearly backups (last day of June). I do not have 'read the entire restore point from source backup' checked. Yesterday evening, I expected a monthly full backup to be created since it was October 31. If I view the properties for the job, the 10/30 backup shows an R in the retention column and it was a full backup. The 10/31 backup, which was incremental, does not show anything in the retention column. Did the monthly active full backup get created?

It will be created after the full backup in the regular chain reaches the specified day (last day of the month), so once it is merged with the October 31st's incremental.

Thank you. I studied the weekly example in the help files and checked the job properties again this morning. I have a 10/30 full marked with an M, a 10/31 full marked with an R and a 11/01 incremental. I was expecting a 10/31 full monthly. Any idea why the monthly excludes the 31st?
