Backup Job for secondary destination not started automatical

We encountered issue where our backup job configured with secondary destination i.e. Backup to Tape Jobs not started automatically.
Hence we had to manually trigger Backup to Tape job.

Is this issue normal in Veeam v8? Can someone help to explain how this secondary destination start trigger and is this manually?

Could you please describe how both your jobs (backup and backup to tape) are configured in more detail?
